Comes with toTHE KINGS GUEST on the reverse. Postcard for Edward VII's Coronation Dinner for the London poor 5th July 1902. Celebratory dinners were held all over London for 500,000 of the capital's poorest people, partly funded by the King himself. This postcard was presumably issued to every attendee ("the King's Guest") - in part no doubt to assist in the singing of the National Anthem.
